Meet Dr. Rachael Maerz

I’m so excited to be a part of the team at Hickman Orthodontics! I’m originally from Columbia, Missouri and completed my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 2014. Though not a native Buckeye, I have lived in Columbus for the past several years completing my Master of Science and certificate in Orthodontics here at the Ohio State University.

What I love about orthodontics is that we get the chance to really know the patient and their families. It's such a joy to watch patients grow and change right in front of our eyes. Every smile that we treat is different and I love the challenge of working with patients to give them their best smile. It's exciting for me to know that these smiles will be the ones seen at birthday parties, graduations, weddings, and many more special occasions!

In my free time, I like to take advantage of all the activities that this thriving city has to offer. I have one four-legged fur baby named Luka. He is a five-year-old Border collie mix and is veryyyy spoiled. I also enjoy cycling, yoga, and hiking/running with Luka! When the weather is nice, you can find me at one of Columbus’ many food festivals or enjoying live music.
